Soo Burnell’s The Hague Series
Through her lens, familiar scenes become something softer, more intimate – fragments of the city, reimagined.
From the calm of the Haagsche Bos and the waves of Scheveningen beach to the lines of Kunstmuseum Den Haag, and moments captured within De Plesman itself, her work traces the city in quiet detail.

Studio IVH
During his two-month residency, Idris lived and worked from within De Plesman, turning his room into an atelier. Each day unfolded between the quiet of the space and the rhythm of the building, shaping a body of work grounded in presence and process.
Rooted in his Newtype philosophy, the pieces explore perception, identity and shifting perspectives – ideas developed in direct response to his time here. The works created during this residency now come together in an exhibition on show at De Plesman.

A Newtype Future – by Idris van Heffen
This exhibition brings together a series shaped by time, place and perspective. Moving between abstraction and form, the works invite a slower way of looking – where details emerge gradually and meaning remains open. On display within the building where they were created, the exhibition offers a continuation of the artist’s presence, now shared with guests and visitors alike.
Beelden aan Zee X De Plesman
In collaboration with Beelden aan Zee, sculptures are blended into everyday spaces across the hotel. The museum, located in the dunes of Scheveningen, is dedicated entirely to modern and contemporary sculpture. A curated selection of works is now on loan, placed throughout the building for guests and visitors to encounter as part of their stay.
